Ronan et Erwan Bouroullec ont ajouté à la collection Alcove (2006) l'Alcove Plume, un canapé surbaissé avec un accent mis sur le confort décontracté, plus adapté à un usage domestique que professionnel. Le look épais, moelleux des coussins du siège va de pair avec leur confort extrême. Bien que rembourrés, ils offrent un soutien adéquat, ni trop ferme ni trop souple, afin que les utilisateurs ne s'enfoncent pas trop profondément. Combinés avec le côté matelassé des panneaux arrières - une caractéristique de toute la famille Alcove - et les coussins lâches pointus, ils créent un nid douillet et reposant. 

A sofa can go beyond being a mere piece of furniture to become a room within a room. This was the idea that inspired Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec in their design of the Alcove Sofa. With its comfortable seat and backrest upholstery and the high, fl exible side and back panels, the Alcove Sofa creates a sheltered niche of privacy, a place of retreat. The Alcove family features a variety of di erent sofa models for use in home interiors as well as o ce environments. 

Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec have added Alcove Plume, a low-slung sofa with an emphasis on casual comfort, to the Alcove product family. The thick, plush look of the seat cushions is matched by their superlative comfort. Though softly padded, they provide adequate support so that sitters do not sink in too deeply. Combined with the quilted side and back panels – a hallmark feature of the entire Alcove family – and the pointed loose cushions, they create a cosy and relaxing nest.
