HELLA JONGERIUS - VITRA

La designer hollandaise Hella Jongerius vient de lancer un nouveau bureau pour Vitra, présenté à l'occasion du salon Imm de Cologne. Le bureau Sphere est constitué d'une petite table en bois sur laquelle vient se fixer une demi sphère en plexiglas aspect verre dépoli. Cette sphère constitue un élément décoratif tout à fait inhabituel qui permet de s'isoler phoniquement tout en profitant de la clarté d'une pièce. Une petite merveille qui sortira courant 2013 et qui, à coup sûr, deviendra un classique dans les collections Vitra.

Dutch designer Hella Jongerius has designed a small table for Vitra's new collection, which was presented at the Imm fair, in Cologne. The Sphere Table is comprised of a half-globe shield perched on an individual table, blocking out noise and distraction in buzzing public spaces. a half-globe that can be attached to any one of the four legs of a small wooden table. The plexiglass shield dampens noise, while its milky translucency allows the sunlight to shine through.
