Comme la plupart des créations de Nathan Yong, le nouveau canapé Elizabeth qu'il a dessiné pour Cinna, c’est un dessin à la fois fluide et travaillé et la mise en valeur de matériaux naturels. L’impressionnante structure du fauteuil et du canapé en frêne massif teinté noir, crée une alcôve accueillante au sein de laquelle plusieurs coussins, dont on aura pris soin de mêler les couleurs et/ou les revêtements, créent un espace intime. En regardant de près cette structure, le nombre d’éléments et la qualité de leur assemblage, on imagine facilement la quantité de travail que nécessite sa fabrication. Dans un salon, le canapé et le fauteuil se marieront tout aussi bien avec des pièces classiques ou plus contemporaines. En outre, les possibilités innombrables d’associations de couleurs et/ou de matières pour les coussins assureront à son propriétaire d’avoir un modèle quasiment unique !

As most of Nathan Yong’s creations, Elizabeth is both a well-studied and fluid design as well as a showcase of natural materials. Here, the impressive structures of the armchair and the sofa are made of solid black stained ash. The shape of the structure creates a cozy alcove in which the cushions, which are intended to be a variety of different colors and materials, form a welcoming and intimate space. The cushions add comfort and charm through the diversity of their shapes and of their fabric coverings. The small cushion can also be used as a head rest in order to better enjoy the comfort of a high seat back. In a living room, the love seat and armchair pair well either with traditional or more contemporary pieces and will bring certain warmth to the room.
