La plupart d'entre nous perçoivent le bois comme un matériau chaud, élégant, mais aussi inconfortable et dur. En utilisant les techniques contemporaines de charpenterie, le designer brésilien Zanini de Zanine a voulu prouver le contraire. Les lignes et les courbes sinueuses de la collection Inflated Wood - un fauteuil, un banc et un tabouret - mettent en avant une idée de matière gonflée et soufflée. Le bois, avec cet aspect dodu et rond devient visuellement beaucoup plus confortable, moins raide. Les essences brésiliennes les plus nobles, Ipé et Jacarandá, sont utilisées pour fabriquer à la main cette collection éditée en série limitée dont le design, surprenant, rend hommage aux plus belles créations brésiliennes. 

Most of us look at wood as a warm material, elegant but also uncomfortable and hard. With contemporary techniques of carpentry, brazilian designer Zanini de Zanine wanted to subvert the theorem. Lines and sinuous curves suggest, in the three pieces of this limited series – armchair, bench and stool – an idea of material inflated and blown: “Inflated Wood”. The wood becomes so comfortable before to the eye and, immediately after, to the body. The noblest Brazilian woods, Ipé and Jacarandá, worked in their essence to find the warmth and sensuality of their soul without neglecting the typical character of strength and comfort.
